Humm Kombucha

Michelle and Jamie with Humm are such a breath of fresh air. They are always positive and from their answers, it's clear, that is just their way of being! KEGJOY™ probably wouldn't exist if it wasn't for them. We first saw KEGJOY™ in Bend, Oregon in 2013 and it was their kombucha! Here is more on Michelle Mitchell and Jamie Danek of Humm.

How long have you been brewing kombucha?

Michelle and Jamie: 15 years

If you had to pick a favorite flavor that you offer, what would it be?

Michelle and Jamie: Original

If you had to pick a favorite flavor of another brand, what would it be?

Michelle: GT's multi-green

Jamie: Holy Kombucha any flavor!

If you had an extra hour in the day to spend any way you wanted, how would you spend it?

Michelle: In nature - by the river.

Jamie: Mountain biking or reading on the beach!

Where is the last place you went on vacation?

Michelle: Mexico

Jamie: Sedona

What is your favorite meal?

Michelle: Anything with Kale

Jamie: Salad or popcorn or red wine and chocolate together

Do you have any pets?

Michelle: 2 guinea pigs! Tho they are really the 5 and 8-year-old's pets!

Jamie: 1 dog

What is your favorite part of running a business?

Michelle: The people who work at Humm

Jamie: The relationships that have grown out of the business and sharing Humm with the world!

What is your least favorite part?

Michelle: The pace at which we run - it's REALLY fast!

Jamie: Letting people go

What is something about you that others might find surprising?

Michelle: I've done the Ironman 3 times and am a concert pianist.

Jamie: I'm part witch.. and used to make all of my kids? medicines

What charity or cause are you passionate about supporting and why?

Michelle: Locally the Sparrow Club because it involves other students helping those in need.

Jamie: Homelessness. I grew up in Philadelphia and always wondered how on earth someone could have nowhere to live. It doesn't make sense or seem fair.

Before you started Humm, what were you doing?

Michelle: Traveling around the globe for 3 years with my then-husband.

Jamie: Running an IT Recruiting Co and teaching yoga and making potions on the side

Have you ever binge-watched a tv-series and if so which one?

Michelle: YES! Lost awhile ago. I just finished This is Us - so well written

Jamie: Hands down, Game of Thrones!

The last movie you saw in the theaters?

Black Panther with Jamie...ditto, with Michelle:)

The last concert you went to?

Michelle: Not sure - I go to a lot of festivals - I'm pretty psyched about Dave Matthews this summer.

Jamie: Jack Johnson

Anything else you want people who are reading to know about you?

Michelle: I've intentionally practiced living a life of gratitude for almost a decade now and that has made all the difference.

Jamie: Life is good and I'm super stoked on it. I most often feel like I'm the luckiest person on the planet.
